A little info about our Doctor:

Dr. Joy Prescesky, a graduate from Acadia University in 1997 (BScH in Biology), a graduate from Queen’s University in 2000 (MSc in Bacteriology) and a graduate from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2003, was born in Montreal, Quebec and raised in Hampton, New Brunswick.  She now resides in Dartmouth with her husband Jay and her three wonderful children: two boys (Zachary– 6 years old; Noah– 4 years old) and a girl (Rhiannon– 2 years).  When she is not busy keeping up with her kids and their activities, she finds time for her love of sports, including hockey and running, and her love of music, including singing and playing the piano.  Dr. Prescesky is actively involved with fundraising for her parent resource centre and has a special interest in surgery.

Our friendly staff are available to serve your needs Monday through Thursday 7:30 am – 8:00 pm, Friday 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm.

We thank you for your continued confidence in our hospital.

Our Mission:

“At the Colby Village Veterinary Hospital, we promote the human-animal bond. We aim to provide the best possible health care and veterinary services to our patients in a manner that communicates to our clients our care and concern for their pets, and our respect for them and the decisions they make.”

Our Beliefs:

At the Colby Village Veterinary Hospital we believe in preventive health care.  That means every year your pet should receive a comprehensive physical exam that includes vaccinations for common diseases of dogs and cats.  Annual physicals are as important for your pet’s health as they are for you.  These physicals allow us to keep up to date with changes in your pet’s health status and helps your pet’s veterinary team to control problems before they get out of hand.
